Jewellery Care
Our pieces are handcrafted with old world techniques, imbued with new contemporary innovations. This is how we ensure our designs are built to our principles and vision.
-
We want each piece to be reflect your identity and hope to see it passed down as a symbol of who you are and so to ensure longevity of each piece:
Silver:
- Wear regularly to ensure your nature oils are able to keep the piece fresh.
- Tarnish is a natural phenomenon and can be easily remedied. Use the jewellery cloth provided with every piece to remove tarnish. Otherwise, enjoy how your piece evolves and transform with ongoing wear.
- If heavier stains persist and bother you, we recommend taking the piece to a specialist for cleaning.
18k Gold Vermeil:
- Our vermeil pieces are made with a thick layer of 18k gold over solid sterling silver. To protect the finish, avoid contact with water, sweat, perfumes, and lotions as this increases the erosion of the gold layer.
- Gently polish with a soft cloth after wear and store in a dry place to preserve its gold lustre.
- With mindful wear and care, your 18k gold vermeil piece can last several years. Like all fine finishes, it’s designed to evolve with you: showing character with time, or refreshed through re-plating.
Rhodium Plated:
- Plated with rare rhodium, these pieces need a little more attention to retain the lustre.
- Try to avoid contact with wet environments and harsh chemicals, as they may discolour your piece.
- When not worn, avoid humid environments and store back in the box provided.
- Use the jewellery cloth provided with every piece to remove tarnish or discolouration if they occur.
Gemstones:
- Appreciate the difference in form and colour that your gems may provide you.
- Do not use an ultrasonic cleaner for pieces containing gemstones, as this may dislodge or ender their settings weak.
If any damage has occurred to your piece, we do offer a repair service - please get in touch with team@graedance.com for assistance.
